About The Space and Company and the Founders
At the heart of The Space and Company are two women who have spent the majority of their careers supporting people, building community, and creating meaningful change in the lives of others.
With backgrounds ranging from employment counselling and senior support to skilled trades development and nonprofit leadership, Julieann and Jessica bring a rare combination of compassion, lived experience, professional knowledge, and community understanding to the work they do.
Throughout their careers, both women noticed something important was missing.
There were programs. There were services. There were networking events.
But there often wasn’t a real space in between, a place where people could connect honestly, share ideas openly, feel supported, and speak about what they truly needed without feeling like they had to arrive polished, perfect, or “ready.”
So they created one.
Julieann has a natural gift for communication, visual storytelling, and building authentic relationships with people from all walks of life. Her ability to capture moments, emotions, and connection through imagery and conversation helps people feel seen in a genuine and meaningful way.
Jessica brings extensive experience in employment consulting, trades development, and helping create evaluation standards and pathways that support people in entering skilled trades with confidence and practical skills. Her work has always centered around helping people recognize their value and move forward with purpose.
Together, they share a deep understanding of learning styles, group dynamics, community needs, and the quiet gaps that often exist between people who want connection and the spaces that are meant to support them.
By combining their professional experience, personal resources, and shared vision, The Space and Company has grown into a welcoming and evolving community where nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, creatives, leaders, and heart-centered humans can gather, collaborate, learn, and grow together.
This is not about surface-level networking or collecting business cards that end up in the bottom of a bag beside two melted peppermints and a pen that doesn’t work.
It is about authentic leadership.
Community impact.
Meaningful conversations.
Supportive relationships.
And creating room for ideas, people, and possibilities to breathe.
Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer one another is simply… space.
